Deja-vu.She'd heard the phrase used before, and from the context she'd heard it in she had a pretty good feeling it could apply to the situation she found herself in now: wandering the long corridors of a building as the sun set, stopping every now and then to gaze out the window at the night sky ( Read more... )

Behind her, Milimili made a noise of distaste. It sounded like she was going to spit. Her aura was the same as a Dark-type. Hmmm...

"Who are you supposed to be?"

[[If that is too superplayer-y just let me know and I'll kill it and make her UN-KNOW that she is a dark type. IT'S JUST THE DEATH, YOU KNOW?]]

She was a little surprised she hadn't noticed she was being followed until Milimili spoke. Had she been that lost in thought, or had the stranger just been that stealthy? Perhaps, like her, she was a ghost.

"...I know not the answer to that question, though I seek it."

...She was such a pretty lady.

Oh well that didn't matter. She huffed and crossed her arms. "Well, if you don't even know who you are... do you know what you are?"

Even though she got that Dark-type feeling from the woman, she was definitely a ghost, but Milimili couldn't tell which. She thought she knew, but the Banette couldn't put a finger on it...

A Pikachu was trudging through the snow, ears flattened against her head and her body shivering. It was kind of cold out here, but she didn't mind. She needed to stretch her legs. The past week or two had been stressful anyway, to say the least.

She had no idea if anyone was nearby at the moment, especially not any certain ghosts out for their nightly spookfest.

But there was indeed a ghost out for a spookfest! The school seemed to be made of several different buildings, so going outside a few times was necessary if she was going to explore the whole place. She kept to her natural form while traversing between buildings, since her more human form was susceptible to cold and left a trail of footprints in the snow - she wanted to be the one to sneak up on other people, not the other way around. There was another set of footprints that did interest her. Tiny paws leading to a tiny Pokemon. What luck!

Suddenly! A ghost materialized in front of Amp and swooped at her with a loud screech! But not the actual move, since she can't learn it.

"Pika!"

Pikachu are electrifying creatures, to say the least, and their reactions to many things involved the energy they carried in their cheeks. For Amp, this was no exception, especially considering that this felt like the time to implement some self-defense.

To put it shortly, she let out a Thundershock out of fright.

The Pikachu may have been the one who was startled, but the Misdreavus was the one to get shocked! see what i did there NOT AS PLANNED.

She shrieked again, this time in pain and surprise. Hunting shouldn't have to be so dangerous for anybody but the prey! Pursuing Amp any further just wouldn't be worth it, and so...

The ghost vanished.

[Lash is feeling terribly awkward today. She is moving around the campus, avoiding eyes and feeling a little overwhelmed with what happened yesterday. She barely notices who is around her.]

[Blacky has no idea what went on yesterday, of course. The remainders of the decorations that haven't been taken down yet annoy her for some reason, but not enough to completely ruin her mood.

Suddenly! A wailing ghost right up in Lash's face!]

[She had her share of wailing ghosts yesterday. THANKS SKULL KID.]

Oh. Great. Another one.

[SHIT AND DAMN. Did Milimili make everyone totally used to ghosts, or what?

SUDDENLY, LADIES.]

Does nobody here have any sense of fear?

For current threading's sake, this was before he had a meeting with Daisy boxingmidget February 11 2011, 21:07:08 UTC
Mac was a little sore. Sore and...slightly emotionally confused. Valentine's Day was less than ideal, totally. Mac had wanted to spend it with someone special and talk to said person about important things. But that didn't happen. Instead, the person of importance was kidnapped and Mac went on a stupid dumb adventure to save her. She was safe now, which made him happy. That was the most important thing after all. Not doubt about that. He was just upset because the step he wanted to take on the romantic holiday was ruined. He even dropped the roses he got for her and they weren't there anymore when he tried to retrieve them.

He wanted to talk to her, but he had no idea what to say...Argh, kinda frustrating. Frustration on an empty stomach though. So at one point, a boxer went out to get something to eat. He returned on campus with a small bag. A double cheeseburger. The greatest comfort food he knew of. He actually sat on a bench outside and was about to start eating it.

He had no idea what was going to happen.

That must have been the fourth sandwich-looking thing Blacky had seen that day. Really? Really? If that was all there was to eat as a human, she'd gladly stick to her diet of fear, even if it meant having to work hard to scare people successfully. She blamed the other ghosts for making everyone too used to their antics before her arrival.

She silently hovered above Mac and grabbed a tiny mouthful of his hair, yanking it to show her distaste.

Whoaaa...hey, what was grabbing his hair like that. Ow. He looked up to see the little ghostie. He put his sandwich down.

Sorry Blacky, he doesn't look too scared either. Sorry to crush your hopes and dreams. Aw, it was a Pokemon or something trying to get his attention. "...Hey there," Mac simply said.

She knew it. She really was doomed to an entire unlife of gross sandwiches. Because that was all that existed in the world of humans. She gave a defeated little whine and sunk down into Mac's paper bag.

How curious. Right smack-dab in the middle of the hallway, some tiny little blue-and-yellow thing was simply... sitting there. Apparently oblivious to the risk some nighttime prowler or another could come along and trample something so small and inobtrusive. It showed no signs of wanting to move. Judging by the way its eyes were closed, it was entirely possible that the thing had somehow managed to fall asleep sitting up.

Or maybe... maybe it was just waiting for someone.

It would be ten minutes before she noticed the flattened pixie stuck to the bottom of her foot.

Actually, she did come very close to stepping on poor little Uxie, as she was paying more attention to what was outside the windows than inside the halls at the time. She stopped short when she felt her bare foot bump against something small that made a sound like a squeaky toy.

"...Ah..."

She had seen this thing somewhere before. Something, whether a dim memory or just pure Pokemon instinct, told her that she should in fact know exactly what it was. Or maybe it was just a prop from the old theatre. She nudged it gently with her toe.

"Please don't do that," the squeaky toy said.

OH GOD IT WAS ALIVE. She crouched down to better inspect it, all the while taking care not to look at its face for more than half a second.

"M...my apologies. What purpose do you have laying about these corridors like this?"
