Start with an incredibly complicated OMG! The Sky Will Come Crashing Down Upon My Professional Career! Problem.

Add two nights of decent sleep.
Let rest; Do not shake, stir, or agitate.

Yield: One incredibly simple, Oh. Right, duh. Solution.

silliness, brain, work, art

Oh, I love those! Even though I decidedly do NOT love getting to them.

Well, this time I had the insight to say to myself: "You know what? I have no eFFing idea how I'm going to get myself out of *this* one, but I'm do know thinking about it before I've had any sleep isn't going to help. I'm sure I'll think of something later." and then managed to pretty much entirely let it go.

So it really went from "hmm, okay Brain, remember that problem we were going to figure out how to solve? I'm going to open that spreadsheet and it's time for you to figure something out. Try not to panic about it?" to which Brain replied, "okay, sure, but why don't you just do this stupidly simple thing instead?"

We skipped most of the fuckkity, fuckkity time by grace of being too damn exhausted to try to work on the problem earlier.
