Tifa let her eyes wander around as she poured ice in cups and started getting a few trays of appetizers and drinks ready. "I'm not sure," she answered to Kenpachi's first question, grabbing the trays and sticking one on each arm. It was a good thing she had pretty decent balance and there was no need to worry about her dropping a tray. When he came over to help her out, she turned one side towards him so he could grab the tray on that arm.

"I don't know what else there could be," she admitted as she grabbed the remaining tray in both hands and placed it on a table. "We just need to talk and keep their attention for a while, right? It's not like we have worksheets or anything." A smile cracked her face at that, hoping he would take her words as a joke and not something completely dumb.

"I know Botan's coming. We'll have to fill her in. I didn't have a chance to, but we'll see who else shows up."

Botan stuck her head in the door, hearing her name and perking up. "I'm not too early or late I hope, Tifa?" She waved cheerfully to the guy holding a tray. "Hello! I'm Botan!" It seemed to be just the three of them, which was odd. She'd expected at least a few other customers, but then again, it was late at night on a Tuesday. Maybe things were slow like this. She knew nothing about running an establishment.

"Is it supposed to be this empty? And what is it you wanted to show me? I am insatiably curious!" She walked on in. She had been invited, after all.

"You're just in time," Tifa responded to the familiar voice that popped in just after she mentioned Botan's name. With a smile and a glance towards Kenpachi, Tifa went over to greet her new friend. "Well, okay I lied just a little. It's not so much that I wanted to show you something as that I think we'd like you to be a part of something ( ... )

Botan blinked at the onslaught, glanced at the drink, and looked back at Tifa. That was certainly abrupt. "So you would be Kenpachi, then?" It gave her a moment to think, but the answer was already forming in her head.

"I entered the medical field for a lot of reasons, but one of them was to make a positive change. And everything has been downright dreary on the news. That's no way a city should be. I got here to find the building I'd be working in blown up! It hasn't been a comforting welcome to the town, except for everyone who has welcomed me." She paused for a moment with a finger to her cheek. "What I'm trying to say is, I'm interested, and I'm not scared off. I would like to take part, as much as I can. My skills lie in medicine, though I can wield a mean broom if I'm backed into a corner."

Serious moment was over. Botan grinned at the drink. "Of course I want it!" Happily she scooped it up and positioned the umbrella just right before taking a sip. "Perfect, like last time. Thank you!"

Kiba had been invited by Kenpachi, not that he knew what at all to expect. He hadn't really discussed anything with Rinoa or Hana, much less any of the other Owls members. Truth be told, he hadn't given the whole resistance much thought until tonight.

He was excited now, however, and looking forward to the rest of the evening.

He walked to 7th Heaven upon leaving Akamaru with his mother for the night, and upon slipping into the bar itself he began to wonder if he'd followed the directions right. "Eh... am I in the right place?" He hadn't met the two ladies before, so he looked around for someone else familiar... and found Kenpachi's unforgettable mug.

Kenpachi had been going to speak to...Botan, was it? But then Kiba and Shizuru walked in, and he could let the women mingle a bit. "Yep, yer in tha righ' place, Kiba. This," he gestured towards Tifa, "is tha co-founder an' leader wi' me. Her name's Tifa, an' when Yachiru was kidnapped, she helped me find her." He glanced at Botan, realizing she wasn't entirely in the loop, likely. "Yachiru's my daughter," he said for her benefit.

He glanced back at Kiba, gesturing towards Shizuru. "This is Shizuru, who also helped wi' findin' Yachiru when she was taken, an' lives wi' me." He still hadn't found a good way to express what she was to him. That would work, though. "An' apparently, this is Botan, who Tifa knows an' brought in. Guys, this is Kiba. He works a' tha zoo an' tha vet's office, an' was lookin' ta do somethin' helpful tha' wasn't wi' Aizen, fer obvious reasons."

That was a good introduction, he felt. "More should get here soon," he said to Kiba. "Invited yer sister myself, too, so she should be here too."

Yoruichi approached the bar that she had passed by many times but never entered. She considered bringing files, images of people that she knew were on Aizen's less conservative payroll, but that sort of information could have brought Kenpachi and his Owls down hard if someone within the group had ulterior motives. She didn't think anyone would be invited to this meeting unless they had Kenpachi's trust, but she was never one to avoid being careful.

She stepped into the establishment just in time to hear Kenpachi introduce Kiba. Her arms crossed over her chest, Yoruichi raised an eyebrow and proclaimed, "Intelligent boy. I like him already."

To Kenpachi, she asked, "Are you doing the introductions for all of us, or would you prefer we speak for ourselves whenever possible?"

Miroku parked his car around the corner of 7th Heaven, having almost forgotten to adjust his travel time for the fact that he was no longer driving in from campus. Locking his car and engaging the alarm, he kept his eyes sharp. He hated the idea of needing to peer into the shadows for possible suspects, but he wasn’t going to be some oblivious victim. That’s part of the reason he was here, after all.

Walking into 7th Heaven, he looked around. There were a good deal more people there than he had expected to see. Though he knew some of them, he was vaguely disappointed that there were several that he only knew vaguely, if at all.

“Hey,” he said to no one in particular. “Glad I’m not late. I invited Jin over, so he should be here soon.”

Soon after, Jin was locking his bike and humming to himself cheerfully outside of 7th Heaven. He wasn't entirely sure of who all would be here, but if there was a chance to use his fighting abilities for good, then he was all in. Besides, he felt that he was born to be in a secret society, no matter how brilliant the color of his hair was ( ... )
