The oldest Sabaku sibling had been out and about the whole day so far, trying to figure out what her education options were from this point on. Now that there was this consensus between herself and Shikamaru, Temari had to rethink everything. It was a pain, and she found herself to be upset about it, more than once. But now there wasn't any turning back, so, there was going to be changes

Momo returned the smile Temari gave her with a nervous one of her own. "Of course," she murmured. "It wasn't any problem. This place is on the way back to my apartment from the school, anyway." If she could have thought of a real reason to, Momo might have tried to avoid talking to Temari. It was...uncomfortable to say the least. At least, from her side of if. There just seemed like there was some kind of wall she couldn't pass between her and Temari because Momo was dating Kankuro.

She pushed her hair behind her ear and glanced down at her cup of tea. A silence had settled between the two girls and Momo couldn't tell exactly how long the silence lasted before she looked across the table at Temari. "So, what was it that you wanted to talk about?" she asked.

The volume and the lack of eye contact told Temari to make this as painless and quick as possible. There was still a lot she didn't know about this girl, but it wasn't something that Temari sought to remedy as much as her brothers were as inquisitive about the boys she dated

Just as she had expected, Temari wanted to talk about Shikamaru. It wasn't that she felt guilty about spending time with him, she just wasn't very good at handling situations like this-- situations when she wasn't quite sure how they were going to turn out
