She didn't exactly consider it a good sign that her boyfriend's sister decided they needed to have a little face to face chat )
"I wanted to talk about Shikamaru." Temari appreciated Momo getting to the point. "Kankuro's mentioned him meeting with you many times, sometimes he gets jealous." Whether or not Temari was jealous as well was something that still had to be answered. However, her point of view on something like this would deviate more to the fact that Momo was very like Shikamaru in terms of qualities and background.
"I just want to thank you, I guess, as weird as it might sound." It was Temari's turn to look away, her eyes following the barista's movement at the counter. "I don't really follow Shikamaru's social life, but he's not the type to talk to people 24/7. And it's hard for him to talk to someone like me on a normal basis. We're working on it."
"However, with Kankuro on one end and Shikamaru on the other, I'm sure you can tell the difference with the two. They don't like each other very much." Her eyes fell back onto Momo's again. "So, I'd appreciate that whatever my brother tells you about me, that you'd keep it to yourself. I understand Shikamaru might be a friend to you, but if it's something important, eventually I'd tell it to him myself."

Giving a little nod, she sighed and the tiniest of smiles graced her lips showing her amusement. "I figured he would say something about it. He was complaining about him being in my recent calls list a lot." She waved her hand, brushing away Kankuro's concerns. "He was exaggerating, of course."
She cocked her head to the side, confused at Temari thanking her. She remained quiet, letting the blonde continue speaking. She nodded in agreement at her comment about the differences between Kankuro and Shikamaru. With a little laugh, she said, "However... even though they're quite different, they both seem to have a bit of an aversion to doing much talking." She looked at Temari sharply at her request. "I- I know. It's nothing of mine to tell. I understand why Kankuro felt the need to tell me, but... I suppose I would have preferred if he hadn't."

"I don't mind him telling you. As far as I know you're the only hope that he'll learn some logic yet."
It was basically all Temari had to say, even though she had that nagging voice in the back of her head that wanted to ask about Shikamaru. There was a big difference between herself and her co-worker, both being women from different sides of the personality spectrum. It was entirely possible for him to tell her things that Temari would never know about. But then again, this was Momo and not her brother. Temari trusted her. She trusted Shikamaru.
"That's all I wanted to say."

Looking across the table at the older girl, she had a feeling that there was more she wanted to say and Momo's mind could certainly come up with several things for the blonde to say to her. She doubted it would come to anything mean, Temari didn't seem to be nearly as jealous as she had clearly shown she was.
"All right," she said, giving a slight nod and bringing her cup of tea up to her mouth to take a sip.
