[He debated filtering this from some people, but... eh. Not worth the trouble.]

It's been a while since I've gone camping, and what I did before was really more just roughing it than actual camping.

You guys got any recommendations on what I should bring?

camping prepations, a question for the masses!

[Toph has spent a few months camping, so she is so on this.] Uh. A tent's always nice. Bedroll. Food. Stuff like jerky and soda. I'd bring soda, anyway. Pretty basic stuff. Don't go wussing out on the camp experience and bring too much stuff, though. You're s'posed to be roughing it.

Soda's a pretty basic necessity if you ask me.

But, yeah, obviously. Can't be hauling a TV out into the wilderness!

Soda should be right up there with air, in my opinion.

Ugh, you'd be surprised with some people. I kinda wonder why they bother with the whole camping thing.

I'd place it and a good steak right at the top of my list.

Seriously. I love technology as much as the next guy. I wouldn't be able to live without my Pokegear back home. But there's a line you gotta draw at some point.

How 'bout some pans? Sure, there's always the ol' stick routine, but what if you wanna cook up pancakes or somethin' from a can?

...when are you going camping? [Because if you're going with us, you are either a Yellow or a Gold or a Paru.]

I would say it depends on the climate and how long you intend to stay in the wild, good ser. You could handle yourself with nothing more than some food and blankets, or you could end up needing far more.

Personally, I prefer to carry anything that could possibly be useful.

Sounds like we're going camping down by the lake for a couple days.

In that case, you should be fine with a tent and some food. The land around here is quite bountiful.

Bug spray. Unless you like bugs biting at you the entire time.

Ugh, yeah, no thanks. I'll pass on bug bites.

That's what I thought. If you're gonna be near water, a bug screen or something's a good idea, too. Mosquitoes.
