I'm only on the third ASoIaF book - does the Cthulhu fic spoil anything beyond that?

I don't think so. There's discussion of a maiming, but I'm pretty sure that happens early in A Storm Of Swords. (Which I haven't finished yet myself, so there you go.) (Only ASoIaF characters are Tyrion and Jaime, so you don't have to worry about any Stark drama.)

I was rather disappointed that I was the only person home familiar with Watchmen, so when I said "At least it's not beans" nobody got the joke.
