Happy Sunday!

Finished a S6 watch with a friend last night (my emotions!) I know I'm pretty much the only person on the internet with this opinion but I love season 6, all the darkness and the red herring plotting and EMOTIONS. I wish Campbell arc had been better paced but I really, really dig that season.

You're not alone! S6 is not my favorite, but I liked it fine and there were some really, really great episodes (FIGHT THE FAIRIES XD).

THE HOLOGRAPHIC DOCTOR IS A LEPRECHaUN! Loved that episode.

S6 really reminds me of S6 of Buffy, which I also love to death (it's probably my favorite season of Buffy after 3.)

Ahahaha I forgot about the leprechaun! XD Clearly I need to rewatch S6.

I confess I don't really remember S6 of Buffy. That was after the whole Dawn thing, right?

I enjoyed a lot of S6! Well, maybe not enjoyed...it broke my fucking heart more often than not...but that was the point, and it was amazing to watch Cas just fall apart in so many ways.

There should be. *nods* Also one for Teen Wolf. Because then I'd have an excuse to write a Pokemon fusion. Which I've wanted to do for ages.

I've sadly never played FF VIII (I've played all of them through VI and that's it), but I know enough of the story and characters to know I'd LOVE to see that fusion.

See, that would be hilarious! Why isn't this a thing?

(Honestly, I'm just killing time until the DCSS assignments go out. It's supposed to happen this weekend!)

I definitely don't hate season 6. It's not my favorite, and I think it could have been addressed better in parts (purgatory being the resting place of monsters kind of ticks me off, but I can live with it mostly), but I agree with you about it being like season 6 of Buffy, though my reasons might be different ((coincidentally, season 5 of both are my favorites for the same reasons - over all story arc, character interaction, brilliant death scenes of a favorite character ( ... )

I don't think Crowley's motivation is all that complicated, really - if Hell's a corporation, he's a middle manager who moved into the corner office because the board of directors (Azazel, Lilith, Alastair) managed to get themselves killed. It serves to reason that plenty of other demons might look at that and decide, "Hey, why don't I try that?" So he needs some power to secure his position and demons are too back-stabbing for it to come from the inside. Opening Purgatory is his plan, after all, but he can't do it by himself so he does what Crossroads demons do: find some poor idiot willing to make a deal. He must have thought the stars aligned when Cas all but fell into his lap. He caught Cas at his most desperate and prideful and made the most of it - the mistake he made was it never even occurring to him that Cas might pull a Vader and alter the deal. (And hey, if Cas hadn't gotten greedy and only had to hold on to half the number of souls, who knows if things would have gone the same way ( ... )

It never occurred to Crowley that Castiel would even think to doublecross him; Crowley thinks of that kind of thing as *his* job.
