So, it's all offical-like: DC has canceled Secret Six. That brings the total number of DC comics I read that DC where DC has either changed the creative team or outright canceled to all of them. Sigh ( Read more... )

My best guess? Stupidly. The concept is stupid, Apollo's redesign is very stupid (yet still less stupid than Deathstroke's, which is impressive), and I consider it a very bad sign that there are no mentions of any of the female characters. Goddammit, if they've written Angie out of existence I will kick someone.

(And, actually, terribly few people in the fandom remember what happened to the last Stormwatch, which saddens me. They were canonically eaten by Aliens! There's something kind of nifty about that.)

Have you seen Harley's? She looks like Typhoid Mary. (Although cover and inside art sometimes only have the vaguest resemblance to each other.)

I know Cornell can write a covert super-team who gets their hands dirty --- MI-13 was my favorite book. And there were great female characters on that book, so I'm hoping it's more of an issue of DC highlighting what it thinks are the most popular characters than no women being on the team at all, even if I can see Angie getting this proposal and just laughing hysterically before hanging up the phone.

I'm hoping there's some more DC characters. It's strange enough having J'onn on this team, but if it's just him and the rest of the Authority, that makes even less sense.
