Plateaus and beyond

In animal rehab, as in many areas of life (such as writing - of course I would go there!) we hit plateaus. After making steady progress, things just seem to stall. Often they come in clumps, which makes it harder. A bird with an injured leg heals to the point of standing up, but can't navigate a perch. When I had major surgery some years back, my recovery was so slow. It felt like my body would never be normal again. It was months before I could do even some of the things I'd been able to do before. Eventually, my body came back on line and was able to surpass my previous self. lol. That little interlude taught me a lot about slowing down, changing focus, and appreciating the climb more.

If those little possums can do it...:)

This group was fun to watch. Some would only get halfway up the pyramid and then panic and cling. We would help them back down. Some would chug straight up to the top without a pause. And some would just sit at the bottom and stare upward, so intimidated. By the end they were all chugging. I was so proud.
