No Cookie for Me

As those of you who missed me on Skype last night might have guessed, Chris couldn't fix my computer. He says I could take it to a shop if I want to, but since he couldn't fix, they probably can't do anything either. [insert swearwords here]
Luckily I discovered that uni doesn't start until next week, so even though the lack of computer is driving ( Read more... )

I feel your pain, Miriam. Me and Liz were without internet for over a month and I missed all of you guys like crazy. I hope you'll get a new computer machine back soon. You are a bird and you must go free!

I got your package today! :3 and more or less finished Robot Uprising right away. Thank you soooooooooo muuuuuch! *Squeeeeeeze!* Apparently the Royal Mail thought you were a drug smuggler, but everything got to me in one piece (you know which one.)

What you just saw in He-Man, was Dolph Lundgren, my hero! I need to see that movie so badly.

Dolph Lundgren amuses me. A lot. Because he's like Arnold Schwarzenegger, except Swedish! :D

And yay for the package arriving! Now you should be safe when the robots revolt. I'm very glad. ^___^

*pets*

I know how you feel. I don't really meet my friends, or our friends, nearly enough. I'm usually just so busy during the week, and the weekends either get spent: A) Sleeping B) Hanging out with Þorri or C) Writing essays.

For long stretches at a time, I sort of feel LJ and skype are my only portals into a world which is not full of school.

But I'm getting better at the whole being social thing lately. It's good to take the initiative. ^^

At least you get to hang out with your boyfriend. The only contact I have with my boyfriend is over the internet (or through phone calls, but that's expensive, so we can't do that every day).
But, yeah, it sucks when school takes over your life completely. A social life is an important thing to have, otherwise you might turn into a mad scientist or a phantom of the opera or something.

My trial should be over soon, though (hopefully).

Eep Doctor Who!! :D So you only saw the first episode of the Unearthly Child? I didn't like that first serial too much, The Daleks was better (plus it had a 60s style super-glamorously-flamboyant, not-really-dressed, all blonde alien race as well as the Daleks) but I'm only up to the fourth or fifth serial so..
And you got to see the Tennant episode where he has his wonderful Scottish accent! Mmm. 'Tis a good episode. You should see the Dickens one, it's from the first series so no Tennant, but Dickens is adoooorable!

I know what you mean about the computer. With Allan gone, I really hope I'll get my laptop back whole soon soon soon. I have a meeting with the mac people this afternoon, I just hope it won't take long to fix and won't be expensive and you know, will be doable.

I hope everything gets sorted out for you soon too. *crosses fingers for both of us*

Yeah, I only saw that first episode, and I liked it a lot. I wouldn't have minded continuing with the first series, but we switched to colour for Amy's sake, who isn't that fond of the black-and-white episodes.

Tennant + Scottish accent = squeeee!

Maybe the computer gods hate us.

Mmm. The black-and-whites are slow and at times not very well done in general.. for example, it's all taken in the studio so even if they're in a jungle, you'll get echo from their footsteps on the floorboards. But I think it's sort of endearing. x3

They probably do. Even though I have always been a devout follower, sacrificing so many hours of my life to them.
