What a long title.

Anyway, this miracle did happen, the USB Data Cable works. Huge yayness. I got the booklets to the SonyEricsson K500i and while browsing through them it just struck me that nearly every function can be used through the computer - at least theoretically. So I tried to check what's wrong with the cable/software/hardware

Remember the old days, when you only had to know a set of things to be able to handle things like installing hardware? It was a steadily growing set of things, but you could keep track. And now, with every teency-weency thing that should be all very modern and plug and play so you can just plug in without any previous knowledge of computers, you have to find out what peculiar specialty you have to go into the BIOS because of. *Sigh* The good old days.
