ughhhh they're evolutionary psychologists, basically. they want to take what they learn about fanfic preferences and apply to ALL women, because evo psychs LOVE gender stereotyping based on bullshit "universals". And seriously? That's not cool, because it enforces essentialist notions of gender (like women like X because they are "hard-wired" to like it, bleh).

It is. The more I read about it the skeevier it gets. I hope they get in trouble with somebody higher up for this.

ahahaha that's what I'm doing, it sounds like people are sending things. And yeah, I think I will try but patience is not so much my strong point, so we shall see how that goes. Hopefully I can get through it if only for the lols. Not paying money, though. Never. That's what libraries are good for.

I kind of love my internetfail tags. Because they tend to be pretty fitting. At least a little.

And it really is. It's kind of glorious the shitstorm fandom makes when its ire is raised.

I know, seriously - claiming to understand people's inner brainal workings by what they read online is just a little bit - um presumptuous? Not to mention this whole book deal not to mention the fact that there's no absolutely no sign of responsible set up for this 'experiment' from these 'academics'...

So yeah. Basically this is just full of stupidity and makes me a little angryfaced. Lucius and his pimp cane just say no.
