When I was twelve I didn't even talk to people so I'm definitely more talkative now.

And when I was 12 I wanted a normal life.

Do you mean to say you don't want a normal life now, Miss?

Correct. I don't want a normal life at all. Not even a little. Normal is boring. If I did have a normal life I'd just get in trouble until it wasn't boring anymore.

But there must have been something about it that appealed to you before, Miss. Normal seems nice, relaxing... predictable. Normal means you don't wake up to find you've been grown up but don't remember it and are now some sort of sailor chef judge. Are you sure you'd be bored with that, Miss?

And you're a Vice Admiral of the Marines, of course! Did you always want to be a naval officer, Sir?

Huh.

Well...I'm gonna be eighteen tomorrow. I don't think I'm TOO different from when I was a kid, except...more grown up? You know what I mean?

Happy Birthday, then! Congratulations, 18 has always sounded like an exciting age to be.

And yes, I always thought the adult me would be the same, only more grown up. I'm sure you've changed a little, though?

I'm 16, I don't think I changed much but it's only been 4 years.

Hahaha... man, I almost wish I could join you guys in reminiscing. But I'm a robot, I don't 'grow' like you guys.

A robot, Sir? That's amazing! Technology must be very advanced here! But if you've been, erm, around for a while, I'm sure that's the equivalent of growing.
