I am so glad you finished. I just inhaled this entire story. It is so very good. I love that Kara actually has a choice (at least this is how I read it) to be human again and to go back and undo the mistakes she made, And I love how you made her two realities converge. It is such a great idea - I don't think I've ever read anything like that and I've read a lot. And the epilogue was sweet but not superfluffy and stayed through to character.

Thank you for giving Kara and Lee the ending they deserve!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, for all the reasons you mentioned. I'm thrilled that no one has yet called me out for my main plot idea, I wasn't really sure how readers would take that. *sigh* So happy!

I thought the epilogue might be too sweet but by that point I didn't even care. They deserve it, just as you said.

You know, more than one person on ff.net and here at LJ has taken the time to say "thank you" to me for a little fan fic and I can't help but think how great that feels and how on a much, much grander scale, RDM could have had that if he'd just loved his own characters a little more. I'm glad we do, on any account.

And thank you for all your kind words =)

I suppose some would say that being controversial is better than being loved. I don't care what RDM's motives were (or whether he even had any). Both the characters and the viewers got the shaft. I am glad you made it right.

Good point! I guess I just wanted to love him for the journey. But now I'll always have a bitter taste in my mouth for where he took us.

OMG! I read the rest of the chapters on fanfiction.net last night ; you had me up till 2am, girl! All I can say is wow! I was a little confused at where you were going after Lee's 'death,' but the way you deciphered the hybirid's words in the last chapter (and throughout the story) was incredible! :D The reunion scene at the tent where they were tearing up had ME tearing up too. Plus extra love for their son being named Joseph. I'm sooo happy I have to say it in spanish- Aye Dios Mio! lol

P.S.- I'm totally in love with your "New Moon" and BSG gifs. *stares*

I'm keeping folks up late I see.... Payback for all my late nights up writing. Mwah ha ha! LOL totally kidding.

Thank you so much for this! I'm so excited by responses like yours. *hugs*

I love my .gifs. That K/L one is EPIC. Best .gif ever!

And, I admit...I love that New Moon trailer soo much. I have this love/hate relationship with Twilight and it's fandom. I read the books before there was a fourth one and before there was a movie so I still have that love to carry me through all the craziness that's out there these days.

Ok, just surfacing from my RL abyss to say I love this, and I want to do another re-read before I pull out all my thinky thoughts (b/c I rushed through the first time, and I really want to savor it now.) But just know that I'm totally a fan, and I'm so damn proud of you for writing this (and posting it)!!!

I hope you don't mind me storming your LJ, I just finished reading this over at FFnet but thought I'd leave FB here.

I'm so glad I had this bookmarked and didn't forget to come back and read. It was an incredible story that not only included Kara and Lee's amazing connection and love for each other but also a truly original and fascinating idea of Kara bringing back all the dead. I loved the way you wove bits of past events and dialogue with the alternative present and also how you included pieces of the hybrid's prophecy - that was really cool and created a feeling of familiarity.

I loved Kara's personal journey of realising her feelings for Lee more fully than ever before and I was exceedingly happy for Lee when she returned. His wariness and need for her was such an achy mix that I just wanted him to finally get everything he'd always wanted with her.>>> Fatpilotbabies!!

Excellent read. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Of course I don't mind, and I'm very excited you decided to respond here on my LJ instead. I reallly treasure the familiarity of discussing things on my LJ vs. ff.net ( ... )

It's funny how you can see the same names around over long periods of time. I've suffered a lot of writing insecurities lately so I have to say your lovely comment buoyed me up :) Thank you.

I was a lot like you through the K/L journey. I always knew that it could end badly (like one or both dying) but it never occurred to me their love would be ignored or that they would spend their last moments on screen not even touching each other or acknowledging what they meant to each other. I think that's the worst part. Even if Kara had to poof away, we should've at least been given a kiss, a hug, I'll miss you, or even one of those epic hand holding moments where they hate to let go. :(

It really is!

I honestly think I remember seeing a post from you recently about your fic catching the flu or something because everyone was steering clear of it? I remember thinking how very sad and crazy that was considering the quality of your writing. I think fandom is just changing and a select few (at least in my corner of the fandom) are really rising to the top while the majority are either lurkers. long time lurkers on the fringe like myself, newcomers, or more veteran fans like yourself who for some reason I don't hear as much about as I would like. I don't know if that's just me and my flist but my flist sort of seems to be mirrored over at SASA and Beyond_Insane as well. In any case, I meant every word I said about your fic (Sleep Deprived [love it so much!] is my own personal canon)and I'm so glad I could cheer you up a little. I debated commenting everything I did up there for fear it would come off a little bizaar but now I'm glad I did.
