Goodness I don't think I've read a chapter in a long time that has made my emotions flux so much. Lee and Kara's scenes are so perfect, so in character and believable. I love how you showed his faith in her yet was still hesitant when it came to believing how she felt about him Just... great.
Here's the thing. I see where Adama is coming from, but it doesn't make it any easier to go through and I completely sympathize with Kara. This has to be so incredibly rough on her and the way you portrayed her emotional and mental exhaustion with the whole situation was spot-on. Great chap!

Thank you so much for all the thoughtful comments you've left me! It always makes me happiest to know Lee and Kara ring true in any interaction so I'm really glad you felt that way. I re-wrote the first part of the chapter so many times my first draft would be unrecognizable next to the final.

I struggled w/ the balance of Adama's dilemma vs. Kara's and I hoped I hadn't portrayed either of them in a negative light. Thank you for everything you've said here!
