I’m sorry I didn’t get here earlier to declare that the three of you will definitely get an O. I’ve thought recently how unsatisfactory the descriptions of school work have been in canon (in HBP). The best examples of learning magic must be in your fics, and Muggle Studies classes must be one of your specialities ( ... )

Thank you very much for another lovely comment! ♥ I really appreciate it.

As these are both good students, I think that they're genuinely doing the best reporting they can, and they're perfectly sincere about it. We'd probably have similar problems doing our Wizarding studies. :D And of course, they're choosing topics they find interesting, because that's the best way to learn.

My biggest gripe with Rowling and the amazing world she's created is that she gives us so many tantalising glimpses of subjects that don't get developed as well as they could. I would absolutely adore to see more about Muggle Studies in the books. Well, I suppose that's why fanfic exists -- to make up for any lack in canon.

Oh my god. I have about a million things to say. Firstly this was a work of comedic genius. I couldn't stop giggling through the whole thing.

I think one of the most impressive things is how you got across two characterisations. That the two parts of the assignments were definitely written by two people. It would be so easy either not to do this or to go overboard but you do it with just enough parody of the characters to get me giggling and enough characterisation to create distinction. I particularly liked the notes.

"Note: We agreed that I, Sirius Black, would be really good at this. Remus said, and I quote, ‘You’re so hot, babe! Those girls will be after you like nothing on earth.’

Note: Professor, he’s joking! I said, and I quote, ‘That is a good idea, Black. You will be able to judge the experience very objectively.’ RL."I also loved the fact that James had steered them wrong because what self respecting prankster wouldn't. This really fits into the canon beautifully as it seems like the kind of thing one of JKR's prankster ( ... )

Thank you very much!♥ That's an amazing, thoughtful and very insightful comment.

The only thing I did wonder about this fic was that I wasn't quite sure what their relationship/status was...I don't really know if I can make this clearer... The point is that this is schoolwork and they don't want their professor to infer too much about them from it. They're making jokes, like Sirius and the hot babe comment, and the slow developers -- which may well be the sort of thing they've read about in their textbook. They're also covering up, as with the snogging relating back to Topic 4. I hoped that occasionally they'd be letting too much slip, like when Sirius makes the remark about hynotising Mrs Lupin, and Remus is jealous because Sirius is getting on well with the mother in the park. The background I saw to the fic was that they were together and their relationship was a pretty comfortable one, probably quite established at this point. I tend to see them doing projects with each other as a bit of a metaphor, though it isn't meant to ( ... )

I then Transfigured it into its original form, a baby crocodile, and set it free in Regent’s Park canal.

Ha! Metropolitan myths, my arse! ;)

bacon and egg pie, which is generally called quiche by Muggles. (Food Reforms in Britain, Chapter Five: The Second French Invasion.)

Again another hilarious lunch-time entertainment piece by the glorious minnow_53. Thank you very much for sharing.
