Oh dear. I believe it was very unwise of me to remember the events of OotP whilst reading this, as, omg, the bittersweetness! This is just so incredibly vivid and sad and painful, and your Sirius, with his tangible memories and loves and heartbreak fits in so wonderfully with canon!Sirius that I was shouting 'this is him! this is him!' through a haze of tears all the way through. So, er, YAY!

Thank you! It's good to have OoTP in your mind here, but not pleasant. I love your feedback, though I'm sorry you found it sad. Well, it is. If only one of us were JKR, Sirius needn't ever have died, but still.

i love this. it's beautiful and well phrased and ornate but not flowery, and just... gorgeous like a sigh on a late spring afternoon. Perfect.

I don't have time lately to keep up with the fandom, but I try to read one or two fics at random when I can. I'm so glad I chose this at random, because it's amazing.

Yay! I'm going to be so late, but who cares.

Though when was James not very young, after all?

Killed me, as did a lot of the lines, such as

We should have gone through life together, Sirius reflects. We should have shared all our experiences. We should finish each other’s sentences, know each other by heart.

Oh god. It was all just so gentle and lovely and painful. Wonderful.
