the sacred war guy's holy couch
Ha!

Creative POV--I'm impressed. And nice look at Dean's mixed feelings about their gig.

dean would ignore all the signs to sit on a historically preserved couch and offer m&m's to some strange kid. and sam would grab him and make him move.... heh. i like how dean reminds the girl of her older brother and her uncle in the army - if she only knew how close those associations really were. :>

also? when i was little my dad used to drag the family around to civil war battlefields. the battlefields weren't much - mostly i remember there were always a lot of cannons - but i liked the buildings. and y'know, you write a good eleven-year-old girl. :>

I remember... excessive amounts of rootbeer flavored candy...

(and thanks! I was kinda worried that she might sound a lot older than 11, but she had to wax and wane a little or nothing would get done...)

:D

Oh, fun! Nice little interlude of life on the road. I like the horror of boredom and then the little moment of introspection and 'what where they really like...' and then, of course, outraged!Sam!
Heh.

Oh my goodness this has such a true to life touristy feel to it. The girl is great and Dean is just so Dean and Sam, in his short appearance was very Sam as well, that brotherly feeling is right there. I have a confession to make though--I loved going on those kinds of trips with my parents. I love touring old houses and old battlefields and farms and visiting 'quaint' little stores.
