Oh wow, this 'verse has always been made of awesome, but the Sam/Alec interaction has been fantastic this chapter and it's really elevated it further in my esteem and heart. Even through the funnier moments which have usually come from Dean/Alec interaction through all of the pieces in this 'verse, I've always had this slightly bereft feeling that Sam and Alec were not really connecting, that they were both holding back from each other. But Sam was finally, honestly Alec's father in this one! Love, love, love!

I am a bit scared of the 9/10 thing though, surely this is not the end of our adventures with Alec and Sam and Dean all together? (Even though I would not be upset for you to take a break from writing this to finish off Traces).

I have for sure been playing Sam and Alec far apart to keep that story going and unresolved. I hope to move them back in the same direction for a while now, not to harmony, but something conducive to healing-type-things...

And no fear! There's more coming.... and coming... :)
