This was wonderful! Is Dean helping the spider sort of slight foreshadowing? I love Sam's excitement, adorable and dorky. And Dean going along with it in the end (he's totally going to flirt with Janet).

And I love this line:
But instead of a psycho-killer with a knife it was just Sam allowing even colder air to invade the fragile eco-system of the shower stall.

It perfectly describes showering conditions during the winter (at least in a place where the heating is terrible). The Gestapo line was nice too.

Oh, but two things that maybe I just didn't get.

a) Why stand in the shower as you're waiting for it to heat up, especially on a freezing cold day? Is that a manly thing?

b) can't Dean close his own shower curtain?

a) I do it all the time in hopes for eventual water temperature rise. Surely Dean is much hardier than even me. :D
