Busy busy day, went from maybe 12:30 to 8:30pm. Some familiar faces, etc.
"Hetalila" has turned into a sort of joke/gag among those present at the event.
Our banner had such a typo, so instead of Hetalia Day, I present to you ...
HETALILA DAY!
Everyone had met at the "giant horse statue" mostly on time and we eventually gathered at the picnic tables and started off our shenanigans. It was behind the Ontario Parliament Building featured below which was also near the venue of our indoor activities, thanks or no thanks to the randomly appearing rain. I sure hope everyone didn't bother the people who were in the room next to us.;;
Darn pink ink. The sticker says "CANADA" ~
Mm, muffins!
Oh god, salmiakki!
To whoever made the Shinatty, Mochimerica, and Prussiabear masks - ILU. Think the wearers agree.
Some music was playing and when it turned on to the Delicious Tomato song ...
Some felt the need to do a jig!
At summer cons and meet-ups, especially Fan Expo,
I started a little "collection" where I had cosplayers pose with the cards.
Unfortunately I hadn't brought all my cards that day, or remember to ask for people, so I did what I could.
Shameless plug:
plushie by Quacked! :'D
Oh hay look a kidnapping scene
/why yes Canadians are easily distracted, especially if their nation is the one being taken
Oh look it's Prussiabear~!
/throws in annako and joichi's shots in the timeline
"Germany failed to catch the Russias' attention to play a bit of pass the ball. Was taking a video hoping to see if they would react but instead Greece came running with a stolen vodka bottle, passing it on to Prussia. Merged with another chase scene that occurred shortly after, but this time of China's stolen flag." - description of the following video
Despite the fact that I wanted to go out and take more shots, I instead chose to stand spend a good 25 minutes...
filming some cosplayers playing Twister!
Full game footage below, three parts, foul language and sexual innuendo warning!
Finland later declared that there should be a wife-carrying contest! Except it looked like it happen, but minus the competition factor (had no real start or finish, or people carrying "wives"). Everyone had ran off to the original meet point, and where they had intended for group photos but were brought back to the picnic area so no one would be left out.
The group eventually gathered, with our lovely "Hetalila not Hetalia" sign!
Say "PASTA"!
After "pasta", everyone tried to figure out what to say next. Here were some of what they said.
People discussed their interests or something until someone declared that they "had England's panties in their bag" and went off to get it. Then the discussion turned to how England was supposedly a stripper (the cosplayer replied with "only when drunk") until Canada returned with the mentioned undergarments. I only know this cause I had taken a video of it but had chosen not to upload it.
Tadaa.
Germany worked a hard to miss out on everything, and quickly fled the group but here's a slight sneak shot~
It began to drizzle so we began to pack quickly and head to a nearby building (an old college). Interesting shots along the way.
Also, a few bystanders had asked us if we were a parade for something or had taken photos of us, haha.
Indoor shoot~
Random note: people need to learn not to walk between the photographer and their subject 8( Happened so much!
Accidental yet epic scarf flinging shot!
Oh hay, there goes Austria's apron.
Looking good.
Maybe.
Eventually the two HKs who were, for some reason waiting outside, informed the group that the rain had stopped.
So we moved back outside but that and more is in ...
THE NEXT PART OF THE REPORT (Part 2/2)!Where there was a lot of dance and food~
