December 22nd, 2009: Less than a month later she contacted Randy via Facebook and said that ever since she'd been on Facebook she'd been trying to track me down and then asked him to forward her email address to me

Honey I think she's just let the friendship go, I know she has done this before and I'm sorry she keeps making these tantalizing, if insincere, overtures. I know you miss her so much but I think you need to let her go, too. I don't think she changed her mind or that anything changed - I think she thought of you, found a way to contact you, then flitted off to something else. It's a short attention span, I think, not any desire to be hurtful or to play you. I really think she means well in the moment, to contact you, but then flakes out. And when you ask her nicely to please reply to you, maybe it just makes her dance away a little farther, wanting it all on her own sporadic terms.

I don't know, I'm not a shrink, but this is at least how it seems to me.

Yep... I'm on the same page as you in regards to letting go.
