1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them ;-)

I was reading a book this morning that compared the genius of Mark Tobey to that of Mark Rothko, and my lip actually twitched.  Twice.  Involuntary spasm of disgust.  Because I have an unexplained abhorrence of Rothko.  And a love of Tobey. Not everything is perfect.  But it's close sometimes.

I realized something about myself this week, which is always a good thing, even if it's not.  Even if it's something like realising you're a control freak.  Which is.

Otherwise: I have amazing friends, both new and old.  Truly incredible.

In other news: I love being drunk and making friends with the world.  Truly.  Vrais.  J'aime le monde.

I miss the internet.

This summer has been so odd.  I wanted to get a internship and then a job at the SAM, with no luck, my fault, unqualified for one, took too long on two.  And trying to simply transfer stores as I did last summer didn't work out, so I've been jobless and apartment hunting all summer.  It hasn't been awful.  Unproductive, yes. Folklife.  Corteo.  My sweet 15 yr old puppy, missing you.  Apartment hunting with little luck. Finding a job.  Ready for summer. Zoo? Movies, work, papers.  DISNEYLAND!  Deaning a camp, woo!
