An interesting take on the prompt! I like how you made it wistful, but you still kept Lucius in character, showing how he passed the buck to Rosier instead of standing up to Voldemort himself. A good glimpse into the heart of family in the Death Eater circles!

Lucius is very clever shifting the blame over to Evan. Everyone seems very IC although I laugh a little at the idea of asking Voldie for the day off. *g* Nice job!

Aww! I liked how it was funny and wistful at the same time. Lucius wanting to get home to Draco to have some firsts with his son was sweet, and I liked how you slipped in Narcissa's anger at him always being out with Voldemort, and how Bella invited herself over.

You know, I didn't even see the wistfulness until after I had posted it and everyone started commenting. Then I kind of scratched my head and said "huh, they are right, aren't they?" lol. I'm glad someone picked up on Narcissa being more than just irritated with Lucius. Somehow, I've always got the feeling that if she wanted to, she could make things very difficult for Lucius, and that they were equals in their relationship. Thanks for commenting!!
