Monday Morning
5:35 A.M.
Sari gave a happy sigh as she leaned against the railing of the balcony. The sun wasn’t quite up yet, but the sky was slowly turning from a midnight blue to a deep violet hue. She shifted her legs onto her chair and closed her eyes as the soft breeze washed over her half-naked form. She listened to the sounds of cars turning corners and stopping at a light down below near the downtown hotel. She was excited for their next project, and she really did hope that things were going to go well at the meeting today.
She stared off into the horizon until the sky grew brighter and brighter and the sun decided to make its luminous appearance. She then stood up and stretched like a cat before she re-entered the hotel room she shared with her male sibling. She climbed onto his bed and perched herself onto his chest, making herself comfortable.
‘Li…’ Called out to him, telepathically. Since they were twins, they had a very special connection that allowed them to feel what the other felt and to communicate with each other with out speaking aloud.
‘Li. Wake up, bubblehead.’
Snort. ‘I’m the bubblehead? Look who’s the one that constantly walked into the same bathroom door within five minutes last night.’ He responded.
‘Hey! I was tired!’ Sari defended herself with a pout.
‘No you weren’t. You were practically bouncing off the walls.’
‘At least I wasn’t looking for porn.’ After a short minute, her brother could no longer be asleep and he spoke aloud.
“Hey, some of them actually have a plot.” He opened his eyes. “And some of them are really good.” His twin giggled. “I’m up now. Get off and we’ll go and get some bagels before you go all Foamy the Squirrel on me, kay?” [1] Sari nodded, and she bounced off the bed and into the bathroom.
“Whoot! Bagels and creamy cheese!” He heard her say through the door. “With the bagels and the creamy, creamy cream cheese…” Benjamin laughed.
8:30 A.M.
“Did everyone have a good night?” Red asked as he sat with Shibuya in a private area of the hotel cafe.
“Yeah.”
“Yosh.”
“Hai.”
“Hell no.” The blond muttered.
“Good, now let’s get down to business.” Red continued without missing a beat. “As we all know, we have our meeting with the GazettE today, at O’ fifteen hundred hours. I just want to make sure that everyone of you have their phones working in case of anything before we meet up and head over to the PS Company building.” Automatically, his phone notified him of a text message and he saw that it was Sari who sent it.
“Thank you Sari.” He laughed. “Glad to know yours is working.”
“Suck up.” Charlie muttered, and he received a sharp smack on the head. “Ouch!”
“Now, don’t get lost and if you need anything…” Red continued, ignoring Charlie’s outburst.
“We know to contact each other and any of the staff.” Benjamin finished.
“Good. Now go away.” The group got up and left the cafe.

(2:30 P.M.)
Louis and Sari were standing by the van at the back of the hotel building, waiting with their manager, and trying hard not to laugh. Red raised an eyebrow and finally had enough.
“Where are those two crazy boys? And why are you two laughing?” He asked, feeling out of the loop.
“Charlie and Li are being chased by fan girls.” Sari said in between giggles.
“Wait, what?” Red began, but was interrupted by two young men turning the corner and running straight for the van. They jumped right in quickly followed by Louis and Sari, laughing their asses off. “Never mind.” He muttered as he shut the door behind them and got into the passenger seat. The vehicle took off into the Tokyo traffic.
“Details man, details!” Louis prodded. Charlie described how it all started from a photo booth to finding a hiding spot near a noodle stand. Red couldn’t keep from laughing at how the guitarist and bassist managed to get away from the fans.
“No wonder so many people love you for more than just your music.” Red shook his head with a laugh.
“We’re just kick ass like that.” Charlie said proudly and Louis laughed.
“Anyways, I’m totally psyched about today’s meeting.” Sari said, bouncing in her seat.
“Yeah, but how is it going to go down?” Charlie asked.
“Well, we’re going to discuss bringing two sounds together and if all goes well, scheduling on rehearsals and recording days.” Red described.
“I just wanna get this over with.” Louis yawned. “I wanna go and eat or somethin’.”
“Yeah, well hold your horses, we’re here.” The van stopped and Red got out first and everyone else joined him in the lobby of the PS Company HQ. They got into the elevator and as they waited for their floor, Sari went over a few basic terms in Japanese with Charlie.
“Dude, shut up.” Louis said over to Charlie.
“Why the hell should I?” The blond snapped.
“Because you sound constipated.”
By the time they reached the desired floor, Louis and Charlie were hitting each other with every insult in the book in Japanese.
“At least Charlie has gotten better in his pronunciation.” Sari sighed to her laughing brother.
“Alright. As soon as we step beyond these doors, it is strictly business so - ”
“We know to behave, Red, we’ve been in these meetings before.” Sari interrupted.
“Oh I know, but I was talking to these two just for extra measure.” Red sent a heated glare over to the bickering band mates, who noticed his look and immediately quieted down. “Good.” He pushed open the door to the conference room and took their seats on one side of the empty conference table.
They sat in silence for fifteen minutes until Sari broke the ice.
“I miss Chiquita.” [2] She sighed. “I miss her fluffiness.”
“I know, but she’s perfectly fine with Jade and Spencer.” [3] Benjamin patted his sister’s shoulder. She pouted and crossed her arms. Charlie, sitting on the other side of Sari poked her.
“Argh! Meeting end already so I can go back to my baby!” Sari groaned.
“It hasn’t even started yet.” Louis muttered. Sari rolled her eyes.
“Yes. Thank you ever so much Captain Obvious.” She wanted to throw something at his smirking face.
“You’re welcome.” He said cheekily.
“Look sharp guys.” Red said standing up as the door behind him opened. The rest of the band stood up as five to six men walked into the room one by one and stood at the chair, opposite of where the four young band mates were.
“Good afternoon, everyone.” The oldest looking man said in Japanese with a bow. “I’m glad you all could be here for this meeting.”
Red nodded. “Yes. It is an honor to be here.” He gave a bow, and his band followed suit. “These are the members of Shibuya.”
“I’m Tailor, Benjamin, lead.” Benjamin said with a bow.
“Tailor, Sari-Beth, second guitar.” His twin said, taking a bow.
“Baker, Charlie, bass.” He bowed. Sari beamed at him.
“Quanis, Louis, drums.” He gave a two-fingered salute before he bowed.
“And I am their manager, Collins, Rodney.” Red gave another bow.
“Hai.” Said one of men, standing next to Red. “Well, we are the members of GazettE. I am Kai, drummer and band leader.” He bowed.
“Reita, bass.” The spiky haired blond next to him nodded.
“Ruki, lead vocals.” The shorter brunet in sunglasses bowed.
“Uruha, guitar.” The tallest honey-blond male bowed.
“Aoi, second guitar.” The raven gave a small bow.
“And I am their manager.” Said the last one, at the opposite end of Red, bowing.
“Alright. Time for business.” Red smiled as everyone sat down to begin the meeting.

“So, for each different song, there would be a different sound from each of us.” Benjamin said. “Like, let’s say, for one song, we use Aoi-san, Sari-chan, Charlie-kun, Ruki-san and Kai-san. And for the next, it could be myself, Uruha-san, Louis-kun, Reita-san and - wait, Kai-san, you can play the guitar, right?”
“Yeah. I’m slightly rusty, but I can play a decent amount.” The gaze drummer nodded.
“Alright then, he’s in that song as well. We can limit to how many will perform in one song and the next.”
“Like,” Sari took over. “We can just have two people in one and all of us together in the next one.”
“Yeah, but how will the fans be able to tell us apart?” Ruki asked. “Wouldn’t we sound the same?”
“Actually, no.” Sari answered. She looked over at Charlie. “Can you explain this one?” She asked him in English. The blond nodded.
“I’ll do my best.” He said back. “It won’t sound the same, because everyone actually has their own sound.”
“Different?” Kai asked. “How?”
“Well, I’ve listened to a lot of your songs and have compared it to ours. They are very different, and the types of instruments we use are also a major part in different sounds. It would also be a big push if there are other instruments than what we normally use.” He finished, slightly choppy, but the nods he received indicated that everyone got the idea of his explanation.
“Oh, so to get a good sound of a certain type of song, we need certain band mates or musicians to get it out right.” Aoi concluded. All four members of Shibuya nodded in unison.
“Okay, sounds good. If we are to agree with it, what about scheduling for rehearsals and recordings?” The gaze manager asked.
“Ah, Sari-chan can inform you more on that.” Benjamin nodded over to his sister, who took out her laptop from her bag.
“Whoa,” Charlie said in English, raising an eyebrow. “I swear, that thing is going to meow or at least hiss at me, at any moment.” He was referring to her pink Hello Kitty laptop. Sari giggled as she stepped up to the front of the room.
“Shut up.” She rolled her eyes, and then switched to Japanese. “I apologize for having such an outrageous laptop, though it is excellent for Internet and organization. I’m just really fond of cute, pink things.” She blushed lightly as she connected it to the projector and switched it on. After a minute, she logged in and opened the program needed for her explanation.
Just as she opened her mouth, a loud growling sound erupted the silence and everyone looked over to the source of the noise. Charlie turned a brilliant shade of red and covered his face with his hands. Benjamin and Louis immediately turned away to avoid laughing out loud.
“G-gomen nasai!” Came his muffled voice in an embarrassed tone.
“Oh dear.” Sari said softly. “Please excuse this interruption, but I just need a few seconds to take care of something. Again, I apologize.” She said with a deep bow. She walked right over to her chair and search through her bag. After a few more seconds, she pulled out a large candy bar and handed it to the embarrassed blond.
“Here, eat this.” She said gently. Charlie looked up and took it gratefully.
“Thank you so much.” He smiled. She gave him a motherly pat on his head and Kai couldn’t help but think that it was adorable.
“That’s the Mother Hen of our group.” Louis quirked. “Saving the world, one cluck at a time.”
“Kai is the Hen in ours.” Reita answered and Kai irked.
“No I’m not!” He said, suppressing a smile, and his band mates chuckled.
“Hai, hai.” She shuffled back to her spot laughing. “Alright. Thank you for your patience and now here’s what I have drawn up for our scheduling.” She showed them how they were going to balance their rehearsals. She also showed how they would bring about the promotional aspect of the project.
“And that is all I have come up with so far. Things are still a bit out of order but I am sure every one has a good and general idea of what I have shown.” Sari finished. The members of GazettE seemed quite impressed and their manager beamed.
“That was very good. I think this would work out very nicely.” He said.
“I believe so too.” Kai nodded with a smile.
“So, do you think we have a deal?” Red asked.
“I’m not sure…” Kai turned to his band mates. “What do you think guys?”
“I’m very interested to see how this turns out.” Ruki nodded. “It will be a good bit of change for the fans.”
“Why not. It’ll be pretty cool, I think.” Reita said.
“I’m in.” Aoi and Uruha said in unison. They looked at each other and smirked.
“I guess it’s settled.” Kai said with a smile.
“Awesome.” Louis grinned.
“Fantastic.” Red got up and shook hands with the other manager. “Thank you so much for lending your time for this.”
“It was my pleasure. You have quite an organized band under your belt there.” The other man chuckled.
“Yeah, but they can be pretty crazy.”
“We’re right here.” Benjamin called.
“Yeah.” Charlie said finishing up his candy bar. “We’re not your kids, ya know.”
“You act like it.” Red said smartly.
“That’s cuz you’re as evil as a parent.” Benjamin muttered.
“Any ways,” Sari said in Japanese, grabbing her things. “I don’t mean to sound brash or rushed or anything like that, but I think we should get going.”
“What’s the rush?” Red asked but should have known not to when Benjamin, Sari and Louis pointed to the reason behind the rush. Charlie
smiled sheepishly as everyone else laughed. “Ah, you’re right. If it’s alright with you and everyone, if you all can join us for dinner?” He asked politely.
“Thank you for the offer, but we have other plans.” Kai said. “But again, thank you.”
“That is no problem.” Red smiled. They all left the room and took the elevator. On the way down, Sari looked over at Kai, who was standing not too far from where she was. At he same time, he looked over at her and they immediately looked away, blushing softly. Benjamin, who was standing opposite of Sari, took note of this and raised an eyebrow.
‘I see that a certain bubblehead has developed a crush on a certain Japanese drummer.’
Sari tried desperately to hold back her blush. ‘Shut up, okay? Fine, it’s just a little crush. I can’t help but find that he’s kinda cute…’
‘Kinda? I think he’s hot!’
Sari suppressed a giggle. ‘Yeah, but not as hot as Uruha-san, who’s standing right behind us, by the way.’ At this, it was Benjamin’s turn to suppress a blush, and stood slightly rigid in his spot.
‘How-?’
‘C’mon. I’m your twin. I know practically everything that goes through your mind.’
‘Yeah, yeah, you’re right. But, I’ve learned not to let my emotions get in the way of business. Besides, I highly doubt he would feel the same towards me.’
‘Aw, you can always fantasize about his thighs.’ Sari shot her brother a devilish grin, and he sent her a look of horror.
“You’re more perverted than Charlie!” He exclaimed in English a little too loudly. “Um, gomen.” He apologized to the odd looks all the others gave him.
'You little-'
'Oh you know you want to.'
Silence.
'Uh-huh, that’s what I thought.' She thought smugly, and he flicked her in the leg. Sari jumped slightly and she flicked him back. He pinched her and she pinched him back. His hand snaked its way to her lower backside and he squeezed. She nearly gave a yelp and she punched him in his arm.
“And I’m the pervert?” She whispered in laughter and smacked him again. The elevator doors opened and they filed out into the lobby.
“Thank you once again and we will meet again to go over songs in a week.” Benjamin said with a nod. Kai agreed and they shook hands and the two groups headed on their separate ways.
“Food time!” Charlie and Louis exclaimed, running out into the private parking lot of the building.
“I’m so happy everything went so well.” Sari sighed happily. “They took in everything with open arms.” She opened her own to put more emphasis on what she just said.
“Yeah, but now we have a lot of work cut out for us.” Benjamin nodded. “It’s going to be a long while for everything to be completed.”
“Yeah, but I’m sure things will be big because of this project.” Red ruffled the younger male’s hair.
