The sun shinned brightly in the midday sky. Its rays warmed up the old streets of the City of Lights. People were up and about, not rushing but not slowing either. Some were making their way to their destination, others were walking around aimlessly with no particular destination in mind. Gazing upon them was a young man sitting at a small table on the balcony of the apartment. He was sitting lazily, taking in the warmth of the Sunday sun, feeling at ease with himself.
He knew moving here was the best choice. Life back in Japan was much too hectic and he just wanted quiet. Fortunately for him, someone felt the same way and decided to travel with him. They found this quaint apartment in a very lovely neighborhood. It wasn't busy, but there was there was always enough activity to keep the area interesting.
The young male glanced over at another male, the one that escaped with him. He sat forward in his seat, his hands delicately surrounding a porcelain cup of tea. Every strand of his hair glowed golden under the kiss of the sun's rays. His cheeks were pink from the warmth and there was a slightly dreamy, almost faraway look upon his feminine face. A small smile adorned his plush lips, a gentle sigh escaping them.
He was happy, they were both happy. Tranquility was the center of their world in this beautiful and ancient city of romance and free-liberty. It was a big step for the both of them to move here, but they never regretted it. They hardly ever looked back, only to communicate with their small circle of friends - by which are certain to join them here in the near future - but they kept forward.
But this wasn't a part of their thoughts in this precise moment. It was only this day that allowed them to fully bask in the peace of a Sunday afternoon.
