I've been turning this over in my mind since you posted it because I don't want to say the wrong thing. Your story actually brought a smile to my face because I remember doing the same thing with my brother. I think we played Superman though. And we both were the hero. Maybe I was just an equal opportunity ringleader. At least that's how I remember it.

I guess I'm fascinated by your desire for the purple towel because it seems to symbolize something to you about who you are. And, in my opinion, you never needed the towel to be that person. With or without it, you are a hero every single day - whether that be to me or to another friend or to your daughter or your husband. There is somebody out there every day who stands in awe of you and the things you have accomplished.
