I currently read a book called "It´s never too late to have a good childhood". First, I didn´t really understand what that means but when I read into the first few sites I get it. It´s about how we let our childhood, good or bad, influence our lives. What we are today, what kind of personality and character we develop is, of course, part of our upbringing, education etc. But people with traumatic, bad childhood experiences mustn´t be traumatic or ´deranged´ for the rest of their life. In the contrary, often those people are strong, caring and loving people.
Your story is as cute as it is sad. The resentments you carried around so long are healed now, covered by a wonderful cape.
You became a wonderful, loving, caring mom, wife, friend. You´re a good woman and a beautiful soul!
I love you!

*hugs you a lot*

You DESERVE a purple towel.

And a lot of happy birthdays, too, since I am so darn late at this game.

Bless you! Wear that towel proudly!

I too would wear my towel and stalk criminal in the backyard. Sadly, I was almost always alone. I was a Robin with an imaginary Batman.
