I'm hoping that they're not cylons. I know Tigh was held by the cylons for a while on New Caprica..were the others?? I'm hoping it's some kind of brain-washing or something.

Brainwashing would be more consistent with what we've seen on the programme so far about timelines and the Cylon evolution (back to Tigh serving in the Cylon War) but those four plus Starbuck would make up the final five Cylons. I don't recall the other three spending time in Cylon detention but it might have happened off screen.

I understand that we have to wait until sometime in 2008. Grumble.

See, I said they did some serious drugs for that finale...

Oh yeah. RDM must have been seriously off his head at the time!

The highest factor of crack is that bloody song. hello, er, earth song over the end bit? Just... no. I'd have been quite happy if it was just the musical phrase, since they'd played it sufficietly twangy to be something Colonies-esque, but ... no. BAD RDM.

Also, with person up there who poined out that Tigh fought int he first cylon war. back when they looked like toasters.

Something makes me think their not actually cylons..besides..apart from the Adamas, every other major person almost has been a cylon or collaborator, and they cant seriously be giving the message that the human race sucks, it takes a bunch of cylons to save you from the other cylons..
Is a bit wierd though, especially Starbuck..like wft?
They better bloody find earth though when the series ends, and it better not be 1980 all over again!!

Any idea what the song is called btw?

It's a heavily modified version of Jimi Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower!

If they are Cylons, which I hope they are not, there will be more to the story than them merely being like the other humanoid ones. Otherwise, it just doesn't make sense. Not to mention, we now have two hybrid babies.

I can't help thinking that maybe the original humans went to Earth, and all the Galacticans are hybrid cylons, so for all their thinking that they're following their predecessors, the end result might be something like 'Full Circle' in Dr Who, where they can't go to Earth because 'they' never went there originally.

Now that would be a Hell of development...

Incidentally, have we been introduced?

Sorry - it's Fiona, our paths have crossed a few times over the years :-)
I stumbled across this by accident and couldn't resist sticking my oar in

Oh my. Yes, just a bit ;-) When you say "by accident", what do you mean by that? Searching for something else, stupid comment I posted elsewhere etc?

And post something in your blog, Goddammit!
