Oh, wonderful! I really love the world you've created for Claire, something that's both more and less than the world the show gives us: it's slow and steady and sad and sweet and oh, lovely, lovely.

Plus, you know, librarians. Will that ever stop being awesome?

librarians at the sgc is one of those things that i sometimes think about when i have a couple of free brain minutes to spare -- i like to think about the staff that claire might have hired for herself, the sort of people who went through library school unhappy and sort of restless, and ended up in dead end jobs they hated like claire did, and then she found them and brought them to the sgc. kind of like, well, everyone who's ever ended up at the sgc. :)

thank you so much, hon. ♥

heeeee, thank you so much! if you haven't read "look to the heavens" i recommend it, not because i am not ashamed to pimp myself (which i actually am *blush*) but because it's the setup for claire -- i wrote it for a friend back in february after she gave me a five things prompt about the problems the sgc librarian might face, and it's a lot more ... less without context than this? claire's background, if you will. i suspect she makes more sense with that context.

i'd never written an OC before i started writing claire, and now i want to write her a story for every episode of the series. i'm so glad you enjoy her! she's a nice amalgam of all my librarian friends, plus a hefty shake of her own self. :)

ahahaha, your icon! that is so me in the mornings. :)

i don't have anything else about claire in the works at the moment, though of course that doesn't mean she won't appear in, say, the long cam gen story i'm plotting out. we'll see where she goes. (i'll probably, though i make no promises, write something about her after i finally get around to finishing the back half of S10. something set around or after "unending". *g*)

Ooooh PubMed! *hearts*

Vigilante librarianship! I love it!

Oh, and I love Claire's estimation of Vala. Stealing books. Hmpf.

Awesome as always!!

oh, you know vala would steal books if she was given a chance -- she might be able to sell them! claire doesn't trust vala alone in the library at all. :)

thank you muchly, hon. ♥

Oh man, I loved this:) I was just thinking about this character the other day, and wondering if we'd see more (and particularly if we'd see her see Vala).

Lovely, rich work as always, and I love the running themes of learning your subject, of always learning beyond what you're taught, of the joy and frustration inherent in that.

like i said to ivorygates, i stalled out after "bounty" watching downloads for the back half of S10, and at this point i'm sort of waiting to just see it on the teevee, but i really want to write (at least) an "unending" story about claire, so i'm glad that people want to see more of her. thank you, darling! i'm so glad you like her. ♥

Even if I didn't love her, which I do, I love that she worked at Macalester. And I think an "Unending" story about her would be sort of marvelous. Because she's cataloguing all the things that people have forgotten, all the things people don't know they want to know until they do.

I'm excited to watch the end of S10 on the teevee. In part, because I missed several eps, and I think it's a show that does better with the anticipation of commercial breaks and on the television, not my computer. (They're much prettier bigger than a piece of paper:)

Without spoiling you, I can say that they did a not great arc with the big storyline (despite me being fairly pleased with some of the developments, but the pacing is... odd). However, they did a nice job of showing these people becoming a team, becoming family to each other in a different way than the Original team.

i swear, i picked macalaster solely because i wanted a liberal arts college that i was familiar with but wasn't one where i had friends go to school -- which eliminated carleton and oberlin and grinnell and kenyon and earlham and most of the east coast schools. but now it makes me happy because of you. :)

However, they did a nice job of showing these people becoming a team, becoming family to each other in a different way than the Original team.

which, as we all know, given the THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of words i have devoted to the valentine 'verse, is a subject in which i am very very interested. *grin* i'm looking forward to it, i really am -- i have all the eps on my external drive, i could watch them, but at this point, i'm enjoying having the 'gates back on tv too much to bother. there's plenty of other things to watch on the laptop for me. *g*
