I've a really good friend down here who is a NC State grad and who has talked about Coach Yow and what she meant to the community and the kind of person she was. It has been really something to see, the outpouring of appreciation for her across the sport. I watched that UNC game, and thought it pretty remarkable.

This sports thing, it's big and it's real and t does good things.

Hell, we were at the Duke/BC women's game last night and most of the girls had pink laces in their shoes, and all the BC staff were wearing the upside down pink ribbons on their coaches. It just keeps coming, and it never stops moving me.

I love that about sports, I really do.
