Yesterday afternoon, I visited South Lakes High School, in Reston, Virginia.  I had a *wonderful* time meeting with the Seahawks Book Club, who had read DARKBEAST as their monthly book.

The Book Club is a pretty amazing thing - kids voluntarily stay after school to discuss the books that they have chosen and that they have paid for.  (Funding is ( Read more... )

As you know, Bob, DARKBEAST debuted on August 28.  To celebrate that book release, I did a month-long blog tour.  I had a launch party at a phenomenal independent bookstore near my house.  I attended Worldcon and Capclave, and I made several other appearances for schools, book groups, etc.

There was only one thing missing:  DARKBEAST.

When I was a kid, I loved movie trailers.  They were the only sort of “preview” material in theaters.  There were two or three or maybe even four trailers, and each one hinted at an incredible new movie to see.
