So, in all the craziness of last week (end of year!  start of year!  finishing manuscript!  living life!), I got fantastic news about DARKBEAST!  My middle-grade traditional fantasy novel, written under the pen name Morgan Keyes, has gone into its second printing!

Yesterday, I spent the day at Shady Grove Middle School in Gaithersburg, Maryland, speaking to eighth-grade English classes about the writing process, the publishing business, and DARKBEAST.  I had a *wonderful* time - the principal introduced me to each class, the teachers were incredibly welcoming, and the students were polite and well-spoken.  I ( Read more... )
