Whelp.

I lasted 3 weeks without alcohol. Wound up drinking with Astrid last Friday and then a little more at the club...then a little more at The Love Station. Didn't get drunk, just maintained a little buzz for the night.
But I'm proud and happy with how it turned out. I still haven't chowed down on any chemicals and I feel that my goal was pretty ( Read more... )

Trivia:

Raja Ram was also the name of a Jat military leader who lived in the 15th century. The Jats are an ethnic group of northern India, particularly in Rajasthan and Punjab and are predominantly Sikh. I think, but am not certain that a good number of the Punjabis in Canada are of Jat heritage. Raja Ram held a rebellion against the Muslim Mughal empire headed by Aurangzeb at the time. He was killed in battle in the year 1688.

The last few times I tried to drink socially, I drank too fast and the alcohol had an effect on me, which was undesirable and countered any potential socializing. I have since resolved to make ridiculous jokes socially. Or hang out in my room.
