Dear God she's adorable <3 I can't believe you had to teach her to eat and drink, that's so precious. It sounds like she's fairly tame by this point from a lot of handling and attention. She's so darling, I love that goofy face picture :D She's all like 8>
She was a hand-fed cockatiel so she was pretty tame since I got her. (It also made her more expensive.) But she has gotten tamer since. :)
She didn't trust the food or something so I had to show her it's okay to eat. She now likes to snatch crunchy foods from me and fly off with it. lol. And I think back at the pet store she used to drink water from a dish, I had a bottle so I had to show her where the water comes from.
I love that goofy picture of her! XD Perhaps, I shall make it into an icon...
Kakashi is beautiful! Gorgeous! I love cocketiels! They can be so affectionate and quiet clever--mine used to try and steal my cereal from my bowl while I was eating.
And I'm with Kakashi--I don't like fire alarms, or the camera, and the incompetent...well, you know what I mean! XD
As to parakeets--they have too much pluck! I love them, I have one now (her name is Chibi), but they love to gang up on tiels for some reason. You'd think they would leave a larger bird alone...
Thanks for sharing all these wonderful pics of your little sidekick!
