A very tall Companion-in-training enters gracefully through the front door, tassels of the student robes swinging wildly in front of their face as they walk, obscuring any solid view of who it is.
Come buy the newcomer a drink?

"Hi, Mal. No eyeliner?"
Reply
"Inara don't trust me with any. The robes are hers though. What do you think?"
Mal does a little twirl in the all-encompassing burgundy robes, tassels spinning in the wind.

Who could have done such a thing.
Certainly not Raven, who is, perhaps not-so-coincidentally standing behind him.
He's not even trying for innocence, really.

"Whatchya do that for?"
Reply
"Mostly to plague you, I think."

The bar gives him a rather sizable pink marguerita.
Mal only chuckles and sips it thoughtfully.
"So who're you supposed to be?"
Reply
"If you're trying to pull that off, you really gotta thrust your hips a bit more, sweety."
Says the pregnant "man" sitting watching the universes end.
Reply
"Thanks, I'll have to --"
Pause.
"Is that a pillow under there?"
Reply
"Uh, no. That a broom handle under there?"
Reply
"No...sir. No broom handles anywhere visible or hidden on my person."
A weird sort of smirk. "Though I don't peg you as what you look to be either."
Reply
"....You are Mal Reynolds?"
He's obviously not triad or police. He's an escaped mental patient.
Forgive her complete and total surprise. She's never been good with social graces.

"...Yes?"

"I am...Kabuki." If the gigantic goggle-eyes can look pained-they do, "We met yesterday?"
Head Shake, "I put my trust in the inatimate object and it-" she points a wiggly paw at the bar, "Turned me into this." She could launch into a litany about how she hoped this would earn her egress-but he probably doesn't want to hear that.
She recalls her conversation with the inatimate object that is the bar and shakes her head, "You must speak to the bar. I am sure they will give you a better..." She blinks her googley-eyes, "Outfit."
Reply
"I actually chose to dress myself like this. It's a holiday here - ever heard o' Halloween? Folk dress like they normally wouldn't."
Reply
"Nice outfit, captain." There are stifled snickers.
Reply
"[You as well Your Highness]," Mal responds with a grin as he stands again.
"What's a lady like you doin' in a bar like this?"
