Puck's in the bar. More specifically, he is on a table in a booth. He looks very, very asleep.

Upon closer inspection, the observant observer might see burn marks on one side of his face.

Go ahead, wake him up. He'll probably be in a good mood.

Aeryn glances over at the sleeping figure. She wonders if he needs medical attention. She stands nearby and gives a small cough.

Puck opens his eyes. They're blue today.

"Good day."

"Are you alright?" She pointed to his face, abrupt as usual.

He sits up, legs dangling over the edge of the table, and gives Aeryn a wry look.

"I live."

Jack sits nearby with his martini and waits for Puck to wake up.

After a few moments, he stirs and stretches.

"Jack," he says, beaming. "How does the day find you?"

"Hale and hearty. And a bit thirsty.

"Would some aloe help those burns?"

He touches them idly and winces.

"Have you aloe for burns such as these?"

There is a pair of great gray-green eyes peeping at him from over the leather cover of Great Expectations, but Anne is being polite and doesn't want to wake him.

Without opening his eyes, he says, "Another reader ..."

She flushes and puts down the book.

"It was a long day, and I thought I'd treat myself with some Dickens," she says, a little defiantly. "You look familiar. Have we met before?"

He looks at her curiously, still lying on the table.

"Have we? I'm certain I'd remember ... what's your name, duck?"

Ophelia very carefully touches his burns, frowning slightly.q

"They aren't so bad as they look, sweet."

Which is probably a lie.

"If they're only half as bad as they look, they still must hurt like hell," she points out.

"Touche."

He grins. "Still, at this particular moment, I'd be glad with worse. How have you fared, Ophelia dear?"

Sariel simply lays a kiss upon his cheek, and sneaks to sit alongside the table.

Good show, my dearest, good show indeed.

Puck smiles, not moving an inch.

You didn't fare too poorly yourself, heavenly. I hardly needed to show up at all, did I?

arch_sariel July 27 2005, 19:47:08 UTC
I should have burned if not for you.

Her smile, as always, mirrors his exactly.

He opens his eyes-- amber.

"We'll share the glory, shall we?"
