There's a loud thud on the front door.

Those who are listening carefully can hear someone gasping.

Then there's something that sounds like someone scrabbling for purchase on wood -- looking for any crack or fissure in which to put one's hands to pull the door open.

The Valkyrie blinks. Unless she's going somewhere with someone, she doesn't pay that much attention to the door. However- it sounds like someone's panicking to get in. A sympathetic wince, and Svava hurries over.

"Hold on. Please..." Biting her lip, both hands on the latch--

And she tries to open it.

Ace wanders over, attracted by the noise. Whoever's on the other side of that door sounds determined.
"Hey... need help there?" She feels rather silly offering help to a Valkyrie, but does so all the same.
