Louis enters a few minutes after Lestat and Marius.

He has not tried to outdo anyone.

Richard walks up to him.

"Have you seen David yet? He's late."

[darkly_romantic]

"I haven't seen David. He's not staying with us in New Orleans--or if he is, he's being a stealth guest." He hugs Richard. "How are you doing? Ready for the big day?"

"I'm fine and ready as soon as David brings my clothes."

He hugs Louis back, longer than he usually does.

[darkly_romantic]

"You'll do fine," Louis says comfortingly. "It'll be a lovely ceremony. And even if it's not, remember the important thing is the marriage, not the wedding."

[vampire_brat]

"Boo!"

Lestat grabs Louis and pulls him into a hug. This is becoming his favourite way to greet his fledgling, plus, it makes him jumpy.

Louis yelps and then hugs Louis back. "Where'd you come from?" he says and rolls his eyes, since they've just seen each other a few hours ago.

Lestat grins. Yes, he loves making him yelp. "Marius and I went to change into our clothes and catch some dinner, as it were. I told you this cut would look stunning on me." He shows off his suit.

"You look splendid," Louis says indulgently. "As I'm sure you know."
