David approaches the bar for a cup of substitute and sees the cat. He smiles, and reaches out to pet him. He misses Kestrel's cat form keenly for a moment, and smiles.
"You're a very unusual colour, for a cat," he says, and then turns to the bar, a cup of blood substitute popping up even as he strokes the cat. "And I wonder who you belong to."
*The white cat leans unconsciously into the petting, purring loudly. The cat's head rests in David's hand, seeking the most contact and the best petting.*
Faith continues to pet the cat. Because she likes cats. "I was just starting to think I'd never see another normal housecat running around. All these psychic cats the size of Volvos and big honking lions that talk...nice to see just a normal cat in the place."
*The cat, on its side, turns the rest of the way over, on its back. It finishes waking up gradually, contently purring. A playful paw is batted at Faith's hand, along with a half-yowl of amusement.*

"Or perhaps you belong to no one?"
The blood sits untouched in favour of petting the cat.
