Claudia's at a table, examining a rather steampunk-looking pistol of some sort. Thanks to Pete calling movie marathon the other night after the shenanigans in town, she never did get to finish her Tesla examination. (It won't be that hard to make them recharge themselves; the trick is going to be getting the whole set wired up for that

Sameth smiles when he sees her and walks over, "Are you fixing it?"

[claudiometer]

"Oh, it doesn't need fixing as such," Claudia says. "It works just fine, but it doesn't recharge on its own. Yet."
But it will soon enough.

"How does it recharge now?" Sam sits down as he wants to see the gun works.

[claudiometer]

"One shot and done, and then the battery needs to be plugged in. But frankly, there's so much electricity that comes shooting out of these things that there's no reason some of it can't be recaptured to recharge the battery. You didn't get a chance to see one of these in action when you crashed the Warehouse, did you?"
She'd remember having seen that, and as everyone was perfectly conscious by the time they got to the recursive B&B, she's going with no. But it's better to check.

It caught Scorpius' eye, the pistol did. And now he's examining it too.

As best he can from another table, anyway.

"What are you going to do with that?"

[claudiometer]

"Rig it so it'll recharge on its own," Claudia says, not quite looking away from the Tesla.

" - Right."

Scorpius understands the gist of that. Sort of.

(Fiddling with something to make it better. Yeah.)

"Uhm. Good luck, then."

And he'll leave her to it.

Except:

"But - What will you use it for after? I mean, what's it's purpose?"

[claudiometer]

Oh yeah, that part.
"It's a stun gun, basically. But the way they're designed right now they waste at least half their energy, and you only get one shot before it's too depleted to do anything else."
