Claudia's at a table, examining a rather steampunk-looking pistol of some sort. Thanks to Pete calling movie marathon the other night after the shenanigans in town, she never did get to finish her Tesla examination. (It won't be that hard to make them recharge themselves; the trick is going to be getting the whole set wired up for that

Sameth smiles when he sees her and walks over, "Are you fixing it?"

[claudiometer]

"Oh, it doesn't need fixing as such," Claudia says. "It works just fine, but it doesn't recharge on its own. Yet."
But it will soon enough.

"How does it recharge now?" Sam sits down as he wants to see the gun works.

[claudiometer]

"One shot and done, and then the battery needs to be plugged in. But frankly, there's so much electricity that comes shooting out of these things that there's no reason some of it can't be recaptured to recharge the battery. You didn't get a chance to see one of these in action when you crashed the Warehouse, did you?"
She'd remember having seen that, and as everyone was perfectly conscious by the time they got to the recursive B&B, she's going with no. But it's better to check.

"No, I didn't. That doesn't sound that efficient."

[claudiometer]

"Hence the upgrade. I mean, sometimes one shot is all you need to stun somebody out of your way, but other times..."
Like when that stupid Spine thing was on Pete and they'd already wasted their shot on another victim. Probably would've helped a lot to have a second shot then.

"How are you thinking of giving it another shot?"

It's a design that he's not too familiar with but it seems powerful.

[claudiometer]

"I think if I can get the right wiring to the power generator, that'll help capture some of the excess energy back."
Claudia frowns at the Tesla for a moment. "Of course, Artie doesn't know I'm working on this yet, and if he did he'd probably only let me work on one to get it right, and if I wreck that one then tough luck. But he threw enough of a fit when I decided to upgrade my Farnsworth, so I think I won't be bringing it up until I'm done."

"That makes sense. I'm not sure if I can help as I don't use a lot of electricity in my work but I'm glad to help if I can."

[claudiometer]

"I think I can get it, but I'll keep you posted. Oh, and the car's registered now, so whenever's good for that ride."

"I'd like that. Would I have to go to your world to be in it?" He doesn't want to cause trouble for her there.

[claudiometer]

"More than likely. I lucked out when it came to getting the car there at all - I have no idea if I could get it back."
It definitely won't fit through the door she uses all the time, she knows that.

[makesthings]

"I can see that. Will it be any trouble for me to visit?"

[claudiometer]

"I'll do my best to make sure it isn't. I mean, we won't really be interacting with anyone you haven't met, so I won't need to explain you, but..." She shrugs. "No telling when things are gonna go Artifact-y, as you've seen."
At least he's seen it and wouldn't need an explanation.

"I have, at least this time I'll know what to expect and upstairs I have something like my school uniform so I won't stick out as much."

[claudiometer]

"Yeah, and this time I won't be stuck in a recursive house when you get there, so that'll help."
Claudia nods. "Sweet. I'll keep you posted and when things look good, we can do this thing."
