It's party time!

With the merge of the main bar party and the Life Support party, the bar and outside area is a hive of merry activity. Mike and Guppy have been busy setting up, and it's now in full swing.

There are plates of free food (not dangerous) and drinks aplenty in the (magically warm) lakeside of the bar. Since this isn't just a Life Support affair, that includes adequate booze.

(Dietary requirements catered for.)

Teja comes wandering up from the forge, followed by all four cats.

Carlotta is sitting on a bench, with her cane by the side. She waves at Teja when she spots him.

Teja wanders over to her, picking up a mug of mulled wine as he goes.

All the cats come to crowd around Carlotta's legs.

There's dance music playing, and... is that the karaoke machine calling you?

"Oooh. A karaoke machine." Cy's never seen it here before. It looks like fun.

At least until he picks up the microphone.

And breaks into "Mister Roboto."

Yipes.

But that means he needs a backup singer!

And someone just grabbed the other microphone.

"You're wondering who I am

(Secret, secret, I've got a secret)

Machine or mannequin

(Secret, secret, I've got a secret)

With parts made in Japan

(Secret, secret, I've got a secret)

I am the modern man"

Yup, Cy even sings "modern" as "modren" the way Styx inexplicably did.

At least Jordan's voice isn't that bad.

"I've got a secret I've been hiding under my skin,
My heart is human, my blood is boiling, my brain IBM,
So if you see me acting strangely, don't be surprised,
I'm just a man who needed someone and somewhere to hide,
To keep me alive, just keep me alive,
Somewhere to hide to keep me alive"

After the food, the circle of chairs is set out in a quieter corner of the party.

LIFE SUPPORT
EVERYONE WELCOME

This is for anyone who maybe finds the holiday season more difficult, who just wants someone to talk to, or is having problems. Not that you wouldn't be welcome if you're happy and problem free, as always.

Carlotta sits down heavily on one of the chairs, with a slight grimace. She has her fifth mince pie in hand. Got a bit of a craving for the things today, even though it's summer back home.

Carlotta soon has company in the form of a familiar face.

"Hello, Happy Holidays."

"Hi Remy."

Carlotta glances around, then undoes the Ringmaster coat slightly so that Remy can see the bump. It's subtle, but Remy's medically trained eye could probably guess her at about five months pregnant.

"Happy Holidays. It's actually July for me."

Bart had told Jim a man who drinks as much as he does and doesn't eat is gonna die. He's decided to take his advice. And a turkey leg to go with his glass of sherry (not whiskey - it is Christmas, after all).

"Don't mind if I do."

"Merry Christmas." Guppy says, nodding at Jim.

He has a shandy with him, since he's being slow with the booze. Two little people at home to get back to, after all.

"Merry Christmas to you, too," he says. "Always was fond of Christmas. It was a special time back on the old homestead. We’d light some candles, say a few prayers, help out some of the poorer families out on the prairie. Then we'd all cram into the back of a station wagon and go out for Chinese.”

He extended a hand. "I don't believe we've met. My name's Jim."

"Guppy." Guppy shakes the hand. "Nice to meet you Jim. My family only really celebrate in the non-religious sense, since I'm a Sikh and my wife is an agnostic, but the kids enjoy it."

Beat.

"You went out for chinese on the prarie? Were there many takeaways there?"
