It's party time!

With the merge of the main bar party and the Life Support party, the bar and outside area is a hive of merry activity. Mike and Guppy have been busy setting up, and it's now in full swing.

There are plates of free food (not dangerous) and drinks aplenty in the (magically warm) lakeside of the bar. Since this isn't just a Life Support affair, that includes adequate booze.

Teja comes wandering up from the forge, followed by all four cats.

Carlotta is sitting on a bench, with her cane by the side. She waves at Teja when she spots him.

Teja wanders over to her, picking up a mug of mulled wine as he goes.

All the cats come to crowd around Carlotta's legs.

"Happy Holiday." Carlotta says, shifting up for him. She grimaces slightly as she moves.

"How's little Myrr settling in?"

[ostro_goth]

Teja sits, and sips his mulled wine.

"I wish you a happy Christmas, as that is what you celebrate, also," Teja says. "And she is doing well indeed, making friends with all the cats here, even the not!cat. I have seen them go hunting together."

"Thank you. Actually, it's July for me." Carlotta says.

"It must be surprisingly cold here, for you, then," Teja says, with almost a smile.

[fiery_ring]

"A little. But my leg was aching so the cool air is a bit soothing." Carlotta says.

"So it is aching still?" Teja says. "And no rest for you?"

[fiery_ring]

"It had stopped aching as much, but now it's aching again." Carlotta says. "I think it's because I'm carrying more weight."

[ostro_goth]

"How much more time, in your world, until the child shall be born?" Teja asks. "And have you reached Will yet?"

[fiery_ring]

"About four months. I'll be a whale by then." Carlotta says, poking at the bump.

She shakes her head. "I telephoned a few contacts in the armed forces but they didn't give me any more information."

[ostro_goth]

"Within those four months, he may yet come to light again," Teja says.

[fiery_ring]

Carlotta nods.

"I hope so. All they'll tell me is that he's not registered as dead or missing. Which is reassuring, but not terribly helpful."

[ostro_goth]

"So he is alive, and accounted for," Teja says. "Good."
