Thud.

There's a Browncoat-ed man-shape suddenly in the middle of the floor, having arrived there by falling through the ceiling.

"Ow."

Above him come the cackles of what could be small children, but in actuality are Loompas. Though, it's truly best for all involved if we all pretend that they're children. There are some things that even creepy children are less creepy than.

Slowly the laughter becomes more and more distant, until finally it's completely muffled.

The hole Malcolm Reynolds fell through is no more.

There is something very regimented about the process required to regain yourself after falling down.

Open one eye.

Open another.

Okay. Not dead.

Bonus!

"Too soon." For movement. For sarcasm. For like...breathing.

"Wei, Mike."

That gets attention.

"Whurf."

Too bad it's not attention with opposable thumbs or anything.

Dogs are useful. Sometimes. Maybe.

"Hello."

Because sometimes, animals in Milliways talk. That would be useful.

"I am not on Ita moon anymore." In case the dog was unaware.

Unfortunately, he's not the talking kind of dog. He's the kind of dog that gets all up in your bidness in the hopes that maybe you have jerky. So. Dog to the face.

Not, thankfully, for very long, as he is the kind of dog who also has a collar, albeit one that was originally leather trim on somebody's uniform before it got hacked off with a knife. So the dog is getting hauled aside now, which may be something, at least.

The dog is there and and then he's not.

Wonder what's going to happen next.

"Whoever is there, just...ugh. Wèi."

...That is one heck of an entrance, just saying.

"...buddy, you need any help?"

Falling form that kind of height can't be easy on any part of a person.

Mal inhales and exhales once, then twice, before answering.

"Oh, I think so. Verticalness. That should happen."

And as such, Beauford's extending a hand to help lift Mal up to his feet.

"Ain't even going to ask why you picked such a landing."

"I didn't. I was mid-jump."

Not that the jump Mal's originally intended didn't also have the capacity to end up like that if he hadn't tried to time it just right.

"Was tryin' to do my job."

Teja, sitting by the fireplace with his guitar, looks up when the man falls from the ceiling.

"Greetings," he says. "What is up there?"

"Used to be my ship," Mal groans.

Ugh. No more talking for a minute.

Maybe the Landlord thought Mal's latest job was a bad plan.

"Ship?" Teja says. "Did it land on there, or was it merely a strange joke of the Landlord's?"

"Let's go with joke."

Mal's currently working on rolling himself over and getting himself to sitting upright.

"Ugh. Not my favorite Friday."

A green face looks down at him with concern. "Are you okay?"

[ooc: sorry for the delay; food happened. :O!]

"So far."

It comes out as kind of this low groan.

[OOC: Hey, I'm at work. Delay is good.]

"Want me to check?"
