Falling form that kind of height can't be easy on any part of a person.

Mal inhales and exhales once, then twice, before answering.

"Oh, I think so. Verticalness. That should happen."

And as such, Beauford's extending a hand to help lift Mal up to his feet.

"Ain't even going to ask why you picked such a landing."

"I didn't. I was mid-jump."

Not that the jump Mal's originally intended didn't also have the capacity to end up like that if he hadn't tried to time it just right.

"Was tryin' to do my job."

"Jumping implies you were planning to land somewhere." Beauford responds dryly.

"Fun job if it has you jumping like that."

"...gotta wonder how you're going to get back to it now."

Beauford's staring up into the ceiling. "Hole's gone."

"Imagine I'll just get home through the door later."

Pause before he glances back at some notebooks at the Bar.

"Just about time for me to get a beer break anyways, timely interruption and all that."
