Parker happens to be passing by with a large cup of hot chocolate (with an Everest of whipped cream on top) and catches the question.

The girl looks not unlike what Parker remembers the new freshmen looking like at Hearst. Curious and a little ready to jump.

"Probably not," Parker says with a smile. "You aren't really in your tower any more."

Oddly, that makes more sense then there being a giant pub between her bedroom and the common room that she has just managed to not see for four and a half years.

But not much.

"So where am I?"

"Milliways. The Bar at the End of the Universe."

If she sounds a little like a cruise director mainlining sunshine? We'll chalk that up to a combination of working with tourists, and Parker just being Parker.

She holds out a hand.

"I'm Parker Lee."

Lily lowers, but does not put away, her wand, and takes the offered hand.

"Lily Evans.

"The Bar at the End of the Universe?

"And I got here from Hogwarts?"

"Gryffindor Tower?" asks a boy who looks much too young to be in a pub.

He's sitting at the bar and writing something, perhaps the start of a note.

The name is faintly familiar.

"Is that one of the houses at Hogwarts?"

Lucas has spoken with a Ravenclaw or two who have told him a bit about the school.

"Um, yes."

She studies him for a second. If it were the summer, she'd think he was a muggleborn who had gotten his letter but not been to the school yet.

But since it's November, she's a bit lost as to how he can know about Hogwarts but not know that Gryffindor is one of the houses.

Or possibly, she's just a bit lost.

"Where am I?"

Well, he's not exactly muggle but not exactly magic.

He focuses his attention on her and finds he doesn't want to think too much about how her hair is red.

"This is Milliways. It shows up when it wants to. Or when it thinks you need it."

That's not actually all that out of the ordinary for architecture at Hogwarts.

"Right, the sign on the door said Milliways.

"But ... what is it?"

"I wish."

Lily doesn't recognize the other girl.

"But there definitely seems to be now."

She looks up at her and blinks a little.

"Yeah, but it's really not. Exactly."

Lily considers this.

"I don't think I followed that at all.

"What?"

"Probably not," says a girl a few years older than Lily - decidedly American, and dressed, as her boss has put it before, like a thrift store fell on her. She's at a table, messing around with Legos and having a soda.
"From what I've heard, the door likes to sneak up on people."

Lily turns to face the other girl.

Definitely not anyone Lily has ever seen around the castle.

"Sneak up?"

"Ours stays put, but then again, it doesn't go anywhere else. According to the scuttlebutt that's a rarity - they usually show up at random and replace whatever door it was you thought you were using."
She shrugs, and fits a couple of Lego blocks together. "It's a rarity I'm totally willing to take, though."

"I found a trapdoor at the bottom of my trunk, climbed down a ladder into a small round room, and found a door that led me here.

"And I'm very confused."
