Ed is in the stables today as well - not scaring the horses, as one might reasonably expect, but grooming Ein with a currycomb in one of the empty stalls. She's evidently been playing around in the hay, too, as she has lots of the stuff in her fluffy red hair.
Ed looks up when Olive passes by the stall and smiles. "Hello hello, Olive Pie-Person!"
Ein looks up as well, although with more irritation than pleasant surprise, as Olive's appearance has interrupted Ed's combing out his fur.
Ed looks bewildered for a moment, as if she doesn't understand how this can possibly be the case. But she runs her fingers experimentally through her hair anyway. When she checks her hand, she finds an impressive collection of hay and hay-related detritus, which prompts her to scrub through her hair vigorously with both hands for several seconds.
"There!" Ed says when she's done. "All better!" (She still has some hay in her hair, and most of what was there before has migrated to her clothes.)
