Optimus, having been alerted by Bumblebee, has entered the Bar. He's a bit more scuffed, but there's a general air of ...well, more relaxed than he's been.

He gets a glass of whiskey from the Bar, then settles down at a table near where Bumblebee had set up, with a sign:

"Hey, Optimus. It's been a while." To Mairi: "Can you say 'hi' to Uncle Optimus?"

"Hi, Unca' O't'muff!"

"Hello, Bob!" Optimus says warmly. "And hello, Mairi." He does some silly things with his hands around his face trying to make Mairi laugh.

"It's been a very busy time. Deception invasion, massive destruction, and an entire city from Cybertron transported to Earth - a half-mile bubble of Iacon, the capitol of Cybertron, in the desert. Plus a lot of Autobots come to Earth, as well. We've been working hard to get everything in order, that's for sure." He tilts his head.

"And how are things in Mainframe?"

Mairi giggles and claps her hands eagerly. :: Again! Again! ::

"Pretty good," replies Bob with a grin. "AndrAIa's had her baby..."

[autocommander]

Optimus holds out one hand. With a whir and clanking sounds and some ratcheting noises, it turns into a mechanical bird, which flaps wings and plays music as he moves it about to amuse Mairi.

"Excellent," he says. "I'm starting to get used to peacetime again. We've had to do negotiations since we're technically an independant nation on American soil, but we received help from the Indian tribes on that." He chuckles. "It's amazing how relaxing it is to not expect to be shot at all the time."

His hand, in the bird shape, starts to sing like a canary, for no reason than to amuse Mairi.

"But when Bumblebee told me Cubefall was here again, well, I had to come over."

A wee green birdie flutters down to perch on Optimus' head.

Hee hee.

[autocommander]

There is a brief sense of being watched. And then Optimus Prime gravely, and with great dignity, puts some bread on top of his head.

The bird is unable to grin, but he's one of those kinds that always look kind of smiley.

"Thanks!" he squawks.

[autocommander]

"There's a very few people who are so disrespectful as to do something like that... so who are you?"

He sounds very amused, really.

Hope you don't strange humans gawking at you Optimus, because here's one strange human gawking at you.

Sativa hasn't really run into any robots around here apart from Cyborg and that one Mr Handy back home.

Maybe once she stops catching flies with her mouth she'll ask what the Cubefall's all about.

Optimus is pretty much just hanging out. Sometimes he takes a small sip of the whiskey. Mostly he seems to do some writing.

He's also aware that a lot of people around here can be a little scared by mechanicals. (And if he was full size, instead of reduced to being seven feet all, there would be good reason.) So he just waits for them to ask questions, instead of startling people.

Seven feet tall and covered in metal is enough to make her nervous, and not without reason. It brings to mind an incident that, while not actually involving robots, was not pleasant.

Still, seeing one doing something so mundane as sitting down for a drink is odd enough to make him more approachable. She does so, tentatively. "All right. So what's this all about, and what are you, and..." she looks around. "And what happened to this place anyway?"

Optimus can't really smile - his face isn't really made for it - but he tries as best he can
